All Signs Go for the HUB
While in its infancy, the initial feedback to the DOB’s Hub program seems to be generally positive, and all signs point to it starting off on the right foot.
The Hub, a new initiative to speed up the approval process by bringing multiple agencies into a single, technologically wired, multimedia facility, hopes to transform the entire approval process. In the first few weeks, the team behind the Hub have met the industry with an open and a genuine interest in collaborating and therefore moving projects forward.
Like all new programs, the DOB will still need to work out the kinks in the systems, yet the DOB’s clearly focused on making the Hub succeed. With that in mind, we are recommending that the Hub is the way to go for all new building filings.
