Feeling Panicked? It May Be Too Late
With about a month left until the deadline for the 2008 Code, it’s not surprising that project owners are facing a challenging filing decision. Realistically, those projects that are not filed or presently ready for filing may be better served by filing after the deadline.
The truth of the matter is that the crunch before the deadline will come at the clerical level, where projects need to be submitted for filing. Since there are multiple steps to the process, those projects that don’t make it through the filing process will need to be redone in accordance with the 2008 Building Code.
While we cannot anticipate where the bottle-necks may be, we are certain that the deadline stands firm.
