Summer Streets Program Restarts
For the third straight summer, seven miles of Manhattan roadway will serve thousands of bicyclists, walkers, runners, and others as a vehicle-free zone.
The New York City Department of Transportation’s “Summer Streets” event is set for three Saturdays: August 7th, 14th, and 21st, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During those hours New Yorkers will be free to walk, bike, play, and enjoy car-free streets from the Brooklyn Bridge up to Central Park.
