WTC Excavation Progressing
Much media attention on the WTC site has focused on delays, yet there appears to be new progress regarding the excavation. According to recent reports, the Port Authority is making significant progress in the World Trade Center south bathtub/Vehicular Security Center. Construction crews have excavated 32,000 tons of soil or more than half of the total to be removed before work can begin on the bedrock.
The site is the future entry and security point for vehicles accessing the WTC. As the Metropolis Office overlooks the site, we can confirm the level of activity has indeed picked up in recent weeks.
