17 State Street
Metropolis has a long history with 1 State Street. We provided continuous consulting services to three separate owners. The original owner hired us as the building consultant for this property. Metropolis consulted with every tenant installation building. We were a big factor in obtaining the approval from City Planning to allow the height and setback approvals and allowing the plaza to be designed as it is being used today. Metropolis also provided all the approvals and permits and obtained the final Certificate of Occupancy.

1585 Broadway
This is one of the largest developments Metropolis as been hired to consult on. We worked closely with the architect Emery Roth & Sons. 1585 Broadway is located within the Special Times Square District and is privately owned. Metropolis coordinated all filings, including the demolition of the existing building, installation of the foundations and substructure. We consulted the zoning for the new building and the special Times Square signage. Upon completion, Metropolis coordinated all trades involved and obtained the first temporary Certificate of Occupancy.

80 Chambers Street
This building was owned by the city and used by various city agencies. The architect John Petrarca, had designed the entire building to occupy different uses. On the first floor, the architect designed two separate lobbies for office and residential use with the remaining portion dedicated to retail use. The second thru eight floors are occupied by offices. The ninth thru sixteenth floors are rentals with the remaining twelve floors as condominiums. Metropolis was hired to coordinate all approvals, permits and obtain the certificate of occupancy.

565 Fifth Ave
Metropolis coordinated all required filings with the Department of Buildings in order to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy for the new Office tower. The company was hired to file and coordinate the code, zoning analysis and review and coordinate the required special 5th Avenue Zoning Requirement. Metropolis was involved in working closely with the contractor to build out every tenant space located in the building.

2 Ave of the Americas
Metropolis was hired to work closely with the owner, Hartz Mountain, to create the only hotel property in the downtown Village/Tribeca area at the time. The Tribeca Grand Hotel. Metropolis was hired to coordinate the zoning and code. We worked with the Department of Buildings and Board of Standards and Appeals to obtain all the special city approvals and permits necessary for this unique project. Our company obtained all the approvals and sign-offs of each trade so the final Certificate of Occupancy was issued fourteen months after demolition on the site began.

285 Lafayette Street
Metropolis worked closely with the architect and his design team to convert the existing factory/loft building in the SOHO area. Metropolis was involved in the approval process with the Department of Buildings and the City Planning and Landmarks Commission. We also coordinated all approvals, permits and signoffs in order to receive a final Certificate of Occupancy.

62 Cooper Square
The building was an existing warehouse. Metropolis assisted the owner/architect in developing the property into residential use. Because of the district, the building is designated a landmark, which meant Metropolis coordinated and received approvals from the Landmarks Commission. The approval process also consisted of filing with the City Planning Commission. Metropolis has been involved with the project through approval and obtaining the Certificate of occupancy.

1290 Avenue of the Americas
This building is part of the Rockefeller Plaza Development. Equitable Life had leased approximately six floors. Metropolis was hired to coordinate the code/zoning consulting. We prepared the required applications, filed and coordinated the approvals permits and obtained all trade signoffs upon the completion of the project.
