Frank Fortino
President & CEO
Frank Fortino, President & CEO, works tirelessy with and for the developers, architects, contractors and trade professionals who build Manhattan’s skyline.
A hands on leader, Mr. Fortino directs his staff of over 40 highly trained specialists to move New York City’s most important construction projects forward, every single day.
Mr. Fortino holds a Bachelor of Architect degree from NYIT, as well as a degree in Architecture Technology and Construction Management. Before starting Metropolis Group in 1988, he worked for 9 years with Emery Roth & Sons, Inc. handling all city agencies, filing and appeals, and coordinated projects with developers, architects and contractors.
Mr. Fortino actively participates with several organizations such as The Building Owners and Managers Association, The Industry Advisory Committee, as an associate member of The New York Society of Architects, Columbus Citizen Foundation and Italian Organization.
Dedicated to his work, Mr. Fortino gets personally involved with every project Metropolis takes on. Through the years he has developed unrivaled relationships with Commissioners and Plan Examiners. His expertise in the field has earned him the respect of his peers.

Andrew Pisani
Senior Associate
Andrew Pisani, Senior Associate, is responsible for overseeing the approval phase of the filings at the NYC Department of Buildings. His 24 years of combined experience in both architectural offices and in the expediting fields provides Andrew the ability to both review plans for code compliance and to meet with Architects and Department of Buildings Commissioners to resolve code and zoning issues. This knowledge offers him the ability to secure the required approvals necessary to successfully complete the project. Andrew has a dedicated staff of 10 expeditors to assist him in all phases of filing, approval and permitting process of every job. Mr. Pisani holds a Bachelors degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute and an Associates Degree in Architecture from NY Technical College.

Brian Lafferty
Associate
Brian Lafferty, Associate, oversees the Certificate of Occupancy Division. This encompasses preparing matrix’s for the client, contractors and the Professionals informing them of what required items are needed to achieve the task of Certificate of Occupancy. Mr. Lafferty deals on a day to day basis with the personnel of the Department of Buildings to assure all necessary paperwork is being processed correctly and accurately. He coordinates and attends all construction inspections and preliminary inspections. He obtains all required sign offs from the different Divisions of the Department of Buildings (Plumbing, Elevator, Construction).

Janet Lafferty
Associate
Janet Lafferty, Associate, is the Chief Financial Officer. She oversees the staffs who prepare all the necessary billings based on all projects. All proposals are created through her division. Once the proposal is executed by the client, it is then transferred into the accountant track program by which all bills are generated from and are paid against. She is also in charge of closing out the year end books.

Brian Redlein
Associate
Brian Redlein, Associate, has a Bachelors degree in Architecture from NYIT, which he received in 1995. He went into the consulting and expediting business directly out of college. He has been with Metropolis since 1999 where he has earned an Associate position. He runs and coordinates the new buildings and major alterations getting approvals from the Department of Buildings and all other city agencies. He also handles all zoning issues including analysis for development sites.

Steven Magnus
Managing Director
Steven Magnus, Managing Director, maintains and handles a variety of the administrative duties with a strong background as an owner’s representative specializing in hospitality development. Steve has a great knowledge of both sides of the fence as the worker and the client. He works towards benefiting all levels of the organization. He has the capability to develop the strengths of those around him. Steve has created and introduced many new vendors to Metropolis Group, Inc both technical and administrative.
